Four Corners Yarns was founded in October 2018. Our mission is to support Indigenous and Rural Artists and Shepherds in the Four Corners Region (Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado) of the United States. We accomplish this, in part, by paying fair wages to our hand spinners and fair market prices to our shepherds that provide the wool for our yarns. Our goal is to promote the use of Navajo Churro wool and to share the stories of the Dine people and the significance of the beloved Churro. Our web-shop is now open, selling Navajo handspun yarns. Our first run of mill produced yarns (50%Navajo Churro/50% Merino) is expected in late September, 2020. Four Corners Yarns is the social enterprise project of Four Corners Fiber Collective, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
